30 Days of Light

   

   To have 30 days of light from one lantern...yeah right.  No...seriously, 30 days of LED illumination from 3 'D' size batteries.  The eGear 30 Day Lantern is impressive, with three different power settings it can be as bright or as dim as you need it. 

    The highest setting at 300 lumen's will stay lit for 32 hours, the middle setting at 150 lumen's will stay lit for 84 hours, and the lowest setting at 29 lumen's will stay lit for 360 hours (wow).  The other benefit of this lantern is the ability to use it two different ways, as a lantern as well as lantern that hangs from the base allowing more illumination in a confined space.

     I bought this lantern in lieu of a propane or white gas lantern and I have really been  impressed.  The 29 lumen's is plenty of ambient light in a campground or small room; the 300 lumen's is really really bright, quite an accomplishment for such a small unit.
      At $50 this lantern is a decent price for its performance, becoming a standard for any trip or doomsday event.  TKZ_out.
