One model in particular, the 'Gear-Up' (pictured), caught my eye. It has obvious ties to its military background and, fortunately, old school meets new school with Brembo Brakes and Sachs suspension. The durable matte powder coated paint job is a plus for rugged use, and less visibility. The most innovative thing about this model is that it is 2WD; yes, you heard me right. It has a axle that goes from the rear tire on the motorcycle to the tire on the side of the sidecar (freakin' sweet).
You will not win any style points, but the 'Gear-Up' truly follows the form follows function philosophy. You can carry your gear, one or two loved ones and be on the move. This gets better gas mileage than a car, and allows you to move in and out a little less noticeable. We will be showing more modes of transportation, but as far as a motorcycle goes...Ural would be my choice.
I agree that the motorcycle would be a good mode of transportation. Especially in heavily populated areas where the highways would be flooded with cars and people trying to get out of the city.. Traffic is bad enough here in Dallas during rush hour let alone in a life and death situation..
